The U.S. Department of Labor valued the time of a volunteer at $18.04 per hour in 2005. Frankly, Community Harvest considers the time given by volunteers to be priceless. Community Harvest volunteers logged more than 12,000 hours in 2007, stocking, boxing, bagging, delivering, sorting, perspiring, smiling -- and we give them praise for their willingness. They will probably never meet the children and adults they helped, but they go home at the end of their volunteer hours knowing that they brought something of value to someone else's life during the time they were here. Individual volunteers totaling 255 plus the following organizations put hands to the task to help feed hungry Hoosiers.

Who are these volunteers? People just like you. Come join them!
