Hunger Action Month 2022 is Here

During September, we participate in a national campaign dedicated to driving awareness and inspiring action to help end hunger in America, both at a national scale and on the ground in local communities.

September 23rd is Hunger Action Day – a day where collective actions across the country are focused for greater impact.

For many, a daily meal is a simple choice of what to eat. But for people facing hunger, a daily meal poses a very different type of choice. It’s often an impossible choice between food and other crucial needs, such as electricity, childcare, or medicine.

We need your help to spread Key Messages for Hunger Action Month!

• Host an easy Facebook Fundraiser for family and friends during Hunger Action Month!
• Host a Food Drive
• Share the message that food shouldn’t be an impossible choice. For millions of people in America, a daily meal isn’t a choice between different dishes. It’s a choice between food and other crucial needs – like medicine, electricity, or childcare.
• Help using your voice to end hunger. Spread awareness using the hashtag #HungerActionMonth on social media channels to involve the community in our mission.
• Go Orange – wear orange throughout the month of September to spread awareness and show your commitment toward ending hunger
• Use a Facebook frame and encourage followers to do the same
• Bring a friend and volunteer at Community Harvest during Hunger Action Month!
• Make a secure donation online.
