Steuben County Community Foundation Grants $7,000 to Community Harvest for Farm Wagon Mobile Pantry

Steuben County Community Foundation has made a generous $7,000 grant to Community Harvest Food Bank to support the Farm Wagon mobile pantry program benefiting residents of Steuben County. Refrigerated trucks visit two locations in Steuben County each week to distribute produce, dairy, and sandwich bread to families in need. The grant will provide more than 28,000 meals to county residents throughout the year.

“This grant will provide fresh fruits, vegetables, and more to families without affordable access,” said Carmen Cumberland, Executive President of Community Harvest Food Bank. “We are so grateful for their continued support of this valuable hunger relief program.”

Community Harvest distributes more than 13 million pounds of food annually and operates hunger relief programs throughout nine counties in northeast Indiana. Support from Steuben County Community Foundation directly benefits residents within Steuben County who are struggling with hunger and its related health issues.
