We are very excited to share a special opportunity with you today! Community Harvest has been in need of a new truck for hunger relief programs. In response to our need, a generous Friend of the Food Bank has pledged to match your donation dollar for dollar!
As you know, food is our number one priority. What some may not know is that trucks are the backbone of our operations. They help get the food into the hands of kids, seniors, Veterans, and families who need it most.
Community Harvest operates trucks that travel all over northeast Indiana every day, picking up food donations, delivering food to feeding sites, and distributing food directly to families through programs like Farm Wagon.
In all, our trucks transport over a million pounds of food every single month.
However, our trucks are aging and have been driven a lot of miles. Repairs become expensive and a new replacement truck is necessary in order to operate successfully.
